The Nanango Country Markets are held on the 1st Saturday of each month.
Nanango is nestled in the South Burnett Region of Queensland 2 1/2 hours North West of Brisbane. Nanango is home to the Tarong Power Station as well as having a rich agricultural history. The Show Society is a not for profit organisation which does rely on the support of Sponsors, Donors and a wonderful crew of dedicated Volunteers who make all the events a very high standard. The facilities are regarded as some of the best available in country Queensland and are a credit to the hard working volunteers past and present who have a passion for the Nanango Showgrounds. The Show Society has diversified over the years and now hosts many of the Nanango Districts major events, including the ones shown below. Our friendly staff always welcome any enquires regarding the above events, as well as Caravan club rally's, car clubs and other private events including weddings, parties and festivals. The grounds are also used by The Nanango Pony Club, South Burnett Working Equitation Club, The Nanango Kennel Club, South Burnett Gas Guzzlers Club, South Burnett Bird Club, South Burnett Equestrian Group and various other organisations through out the year. Our Facilities include 4 Amenities Units, 3 with Shower Facilities including Disabled access. The Les Fogg Pavilion features a full service Canteen, Coffee Shop and Bar. The Hall can seat around 500 people. As well we have the Heritage Pavilion - a great venue for seminars, dancing etc. The 35 Acres are well appointed with power outlets and water which enables us to accommodate up to 700 Caravans and motor homes at any one time. A perfect setting for Caravan Rallies of almost any size. We also have 2 dump points on site. We encourage all to become members of the Society to help this progressive organisation continue and prosper in its mission to be of service to the well being of Nanango and the surrounding area.
Membership fees are as follows:
- One year-$15 Full Fee
- One Year- $10 Pensioner
Membership includes ONE free entry into the Nanango Show as well as the Nanango Campdraft.
As a Member of our organisation the Management Committee would like to remind you our Monthly meetings are the 2nd Monday night of the Month at 7:30pm in the Les Schloss Meeting Rooms.
We rely on the help of our volunteers, sponsors and members contributions to ensure the successful running and maintenance of this valuable community organization. Our Annual Events for the next year are:
